University e-mail account
Jagiellonian University students should use the @student.uj.edu.pl domain e-mail for academic related matters. As of 2014, the University mail operates in a cloud, basing on the Office 365 service. More information available here.
E-mail Activation Step-by-step
- Log in to the USOS web using the login information received from the School Office. Make sure that the phrase “usosweb” is included in the username: @usosweb.uj.edu.pl. The page will auto-fill “@uj.edu.pl” in the e-mail address field, therefore you need to add in the “usosweb” phrase manually (as shown above). This will only be required when activating the account.
- Switch to English version of the site (if necessary);
- Proceed to the “Common section” bookmark (dla wszystkich);
- Click E-mail activation (AKTYWACJA POCZTY UJ) on the left-hand side menu bar;
NOTE: Full activation of an account for a new user of the University Mail may take up to 24h.
Logging in for additional services within the Office Online will be possible via the portal.
Users of the University e-mail gain access to:
many free-of-charge online services such as Word, Excel, or OneDrive for example;
the University Wi-Fi within the University sites, and extranet.
Furthermore, using an e-mail in an edu domain entitles you to many discounts (e.g. when purchasing plane tickets via the Internet).
To log in to University Wi-Fi, use your e-mail address as username, and confirm with your password (the same one as used for accessing e-mail account).
In case of a lost/forgotten password rendering you unable to access your account, contact School Office and ask that it be reset for you.
If you have a working password and want to change it, go to Central Login, log in and proceed to change the password. The operation will result in a change of the password for both your e-mail account and USOSweb. After the operation, allow a few minutes for the systems to sync.
